Invisible Cities
I have always lived in big cities. As a student of architecture, I tried to understand their structure and changing landscapes. I kept drawing them instead.
To me, urban spaces are places of everyday horrors and everyday magic. Large langoors appear on skyscrapers built on the ruins of their forest. Cars spout golden flowers instead of smoke.
Taking its name from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, the series asks what we change as our cities grow.
